Assistance and Insurance Specialist – Travel Care
Viking Travel Care is looking for a new colleague with extensive experience in travel assistance and insurance.
The specialist will be responsible for training colleagues in insurance conditions and how to think like an insurance professional, as well as teaching the ropes of assistance case handling. The specialist will also participate in the daily shift management by supervising the operations, dispatching cases and prioritization activities, as well as by training more junior colleagues in similar tasks. In addition, the specialist will ensure implementation and constant improvement of our daily operational routines and have tasks in relation to quality processes, will participate in projects and function as a contact person towards stakeholders, e.g. insurance companies.
Responsibilities
- Training of staff in insurance conditions, travel insurance principles, as well as assistance processes and case handling (calls, tasks, cases, SLA’s and KPI’s)
- Supervising and running the daily operations
- Execute on quality processes in the daily operations, suggest improvements and complaints handling
- Function as a contact person towards certain customer and stakeholders, including insurance companies and corporate customers
- Other projects and tasks, both operational and administrative

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in travel assistance, preferably supervision and/or shift management in an alarm center
- Familiar with reading and interpreting insurance conditions, preferably also experience in travel insurance company
- Pedagogic mindset and good at transferring knowledge
- Fluent spoken and written English, and either Norwegian, Danish, Swedish or Finnish
(additional languages are a plus). - Experienced user of IT-systems and can quickly learn new systems.

Workplace
Preferably at one of our operations centres in Spain, i.e. in Torrevieja or Fuengirola.

Working hours
The position will work office hours (daytime Monday to Friday), but as we are a 24/7 emergency response center, other working hours may be required at times.
