Internal Job Opening: Payment Specialist (Finnish Department)

Viking is looking for an analytical person who is passionate about streamlining cost control and finance processes and driving operational efficiency.
The role is new and it has the responsibility for improving effectiveness and invoice turnover rate at Viking Assistance Oy. The Finnish finance / Cost control team is located in Viking office premises in Torrevieja.

The role reports to Team Leader but it also has a dotted reporting line to General Manager Finland Jussi Kattelus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop routines and communication between Finance and Cost control
  • Act as a link between Finance and Cost control
  • Simplification of invoicing routines
  • Improve invoice turnover
  • Rethink and innovate how to make processes effective
  • Documentation of routines
  • Monitoring of overdue payments together with Finance and handling of overdues in VIS/Visma
  • 1st point of contact with collection agency
  • Consultations of incoming invoices and indirect payments
  • Training and consulting of Cost control Finland and Finance
  • Participation to VIS and VISMA development

Deliverables

  • Smooth processes and routines in payments and invoicing
  • Satisfied stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Relevant education
  • Deep knowledge in VIS and Viking invoicing processes
  • Knowledge in Finnish invoicing and collection standards
  • Excellent team player with good collaboration skills
  • Fluent Finnish and English, written and spoken. Other Nordic languages are an advantage
